Puzzle Pieces

I had a request to do this rainbow puzzle piece on a black background for a team of teachers.  I have to admit that getting those colors to show up on black presented a bit of a challenge.  I ended up painting the background black around the sketched out shape so that it stayed white.

After I had all of the colors and shading the way I wanted it in the pieces, I just had to do a little touching up with the black.  They are all coated with a fine layer of glitter for a little extra sparkle!  I just love how they turned out and know they look fabulous outside their classroom doors!

I've got lots more teacher canvases coming!!  With the end of school and getting ready for Sweet Ila Mae's, I'm behind on my postings.  Check back soon!

Girls, Girls, Girls!

I think this might be the "girliest" canvas I've done in a while!  It was designed to match a baby shower invitation for little Piper.  That invitation was so pretty!  All of the pale pink and glittery gold - just gorgeous.

All of the shower information was in the center, but Anna Brown  asked for the monogram to replace it.  She's a new customer and has fabulous taste!

Here's my girls...my mom and sisters!  We had a little cookout for Mother's Day and took some pictures of us all together.  The kids "bombed" us by climbing on the gazebo!

My favorite little girl was in a dance recital last weekend.  She takes ballet and jazz and loves it.  This is her ballet routine to "Let It Go".  The blue dresses and the dance routine to the music was so pretty!

Feelin' Beachy...

I've got the beach on the brain.  Our summer plans do not include a trip to the beach.  Maybe that's why I'm obsessing?  Painting all of these super cute summer and beach themed canvases doesn't help matters - haha!
I did a flamingo cut out a while back and just loved it.  Here's another set to fill some orders.  The front side is hot pink and black with "welcome summer".  The back side is bubblegum pink glitter with a monogram.  It's like getting two designs for the price of one!

This 8x10 shipped out to a wonderful customer in Georgia, Talejah.  She wanted this cute saying for her palm tree bathroom.  I think it will be the perfect addition!

Apples and Awards

I've got another apple for you!  Here's a cute and colorful canvas designed to match an apple cutout that's the classroom theme decor.  Ms. Lorie is a teacher with me at Centertown.  I know it's going to look great in the hallway!

Our school just had their Awards Day.  I always love giving out my end of the year awards.  Carter got a basketball, archery, honor roll, language arts, and social studies award.  I'm so proud of my little man!

Lauren received an award for getting 110 A.R. points.  Here she is with her fabulous teacher, Jessica Alford.  I'm terribly proud of my little lady, too!

Now...who's ready for summer?!

Princess Peyton

Pinks and purples...perfect for a princess!

This really cute 12x24 canvas has a royal purple chevron patterned background, fancy lavender framework, and a pink on pink crown.  It doesn't get much girlier than that!  In center is a fabulous adaptation of a favorite Bible verse.

I just love painting the name in the crown!

John Dalton

New customer Anna Brown ordered this really pretty set of paintings for little John Dalton's nursery.  I love the mint green, gray, and navy color combination.  This 8x24 features the pretty polka dot background, navy trim, and gray dashes.

The companion 11x14 piece has the same mint green in the stripes, gray dots and trim, and navy lettering.  The gray ribbon on both canvases just brings them together.

Now you can see the pair together.  They're going to looks so good hanging in the same room.  Thank you so much, Anna!!

Apples for the Teacher

Here's a few more awesome teacher canvases from the recent sale...

I LOVE this polka dotted apple design for Julie Clark at Bobby Ray Elementary.  The worm is my favorite!

The "Shabby Apple" design quickly became very popular.  I think this one is pretty cute, too!

The two 6x9's with yellow chevron and polka dotted apples shipped out to Texas.  Aren't they adorable?

I like that these two 6x9's are vertical...it gives them a totally different look.  These two have striped backgrounds instead of chevron.  They're also making perfect teacher gift in Texas!!

I think this might be one of my most favorite wedding signs ever!  I've never seen this saying before and just love it.  Two families coming together really is what a wedding is about.

New customer Jacquelyn Scott had this shipped to her wedding planner in Santa Rosa, California.  She's having a destination wedding.  I am happy to work with you on getting what you need, where you need it!

I know it's hard to tell, but the background it a gorgeous distressed navy,  The lettering is a mixture of two grays.  Those were the requested wedding colors.

I think this is going to be so pretty on an easel right by the entrance!  Congrats, Jacquelyn!

Sadie Jane

Holly Ressel ordered this really pretty 8x24 canvas to celebrate the birth of her new baby girl, Sadie Jane.  Don't you just love that name?

This whole series of paintings started when Holly ordered one for her wedding date with "established" and the date on it.  When she had her first daughter, she wanted one to match with the "revised" date on it.  Now we're up to the third one!
Thank you so much, Holly!  It is always a pleasure!
