Preppy Whale
One of my sweet teacher friends, Sadie Newby, wanted to mark her daughter's birthday with a few of her favorite things on a canvas. Miss Brooklyn will soon be a teenager!! Sadie tells me that she is "obsessed" with chevron, turquoise, and whales. Hmmm... what to do!
I suggested gray as an accent color. It's a neutral and never goes out of style. I used the Vineyard Vines whale as inspiration and to get that preppy look that I was going for. In the end, it looked a little plain. I added the tiny polka dots and voila! It was perfect!
