Everybody Say Party!!!

Turning nine is a big deal!  It's your last year in the single digits - haha!  We starting all the festivities by making our own cupcakes to take to school and to have at our family party.  Making them instead of buying them was Lauren's idea.  Basically, I cook and she decorates!  Thank goodness we had some snow days (as you can tell from the hair and pajamas!) and I had time to get it all done!

On Valentine's night, we had a family dinner at our house.  We did order the cake!  This cutie came from The Sweet Shop in Smithville.   Shelli Williams is so easy to work with and her cakes taste just as good as they look.  This thing was delicious!  The name candles came from Party City.

Here she is blowing out the candles with her cousin, Elliot, and her Gen.

Love those smiles!

Our picture with the birthday girl!

Her gift was the new American Girl doll, Isabelle.  She really wanted Isabelle because their hair and eye color are the same and they both love dance and fashion.  They're like twins!!  I wrapped up a different shaped box and she had to find the doll in a house scavenger hunt.

Lauren chose a Woodland Forest theme for her party.  She always picks these random things that I really have hunt for to make a theme!  I bought this woodland animal confetti at this etsy shop.  I mixed it with some "Lauren" confetti from Party City.  It was really cute sprinkled around!

These larger paper woodland animals came from this etsy shop.  I just placed them here and there among the decorations.  I liked them in the cupcake stand!

The party banner on the mantle came from this etsy shop.  I love the wood patterned paper!

We also has bunches of brightly colored balloons all around.   What's a party without balloons?  All of these balloons came from Party City.

On Saturday, we loaded up her three best girlfriends and took them to Opry Mills Mall.  They did up Build-A-Bear, Claire's, Justice...all those great little girl places!

Lauren's cousin, Prady, joined the crew at Dave and Buster's for lunch and games.  Here they are devouring a gigantic sundae!

The girls!  What a wonderful birthday memory!
