Show Us Your Life Series - Master Bedroom

It's time for another link up to Kelly's Korner for the Show Us Your Life Series.  I love going and looking at all of the rooms.  You get so many great ideas!  Today Kelly is featuring the master bedroom.  Our bedroom has this fabulous window with plantation shutters.  When we bought the house, it was covered with paper.  Yikes!  The first thing I did was take all that down and clean off all of the tape and dust.  Beautiful!
I know it's hard to tell here, but I wanted to get a piece of the ceiling in there.  Our walls are a green/gray color, but the ceiling is brown.  I love the way it makes the wide cream trim and recessed lighting pop.

Our bedding is actually a soft blue, grey , and cream paisley.  I like peaceful colors in the bedroom.  the mission style bed has a matching dresser that I somehow managed not to get a picture of!  The clean lines of the furniture style make it my favorite!  Above the bed is my absolute favorite painting.  I think every artist has that one painting...this is it for me!

Here's the pretty french doors with frosted glass that open to our bathroom.  That old white trunk was in my bedroom growing up.  Now I keep all of the kids' keepsakes in there.  It's full of school artwork, handwritten letters, and report cards.

There's a little glimpse at the dresser!  This corner has a chair that was my grandmother's.  Getting it recovered in a plush creamy color is on my list of projects.  I also have some gray and blue fabric picked out to recover that that pillow.  I bought this little side table with baskets to store all of the kids' movies.  I painted the flower.  I think that might be the only artwork I've done in our whole house!

I hope you enjoyed your walk through my bedroom.  Now I am off to tour some of yours!
