Show Us Your Life - Dining Rooms

Today on Kelly's Korner's Show Us Your Life Series, it's dining rooms!   I can't wait to show you my dining room because technically that's not what I use that room for.  Our kitchen and den are sort of one big room with an eating area.  That's where we do all of our dining!

On the other side of the kitchen, there is a room that would traditionally be thought of as a dining room.  I've always wanted one and when we moved in thought this was my big chance!

However, it just seemed to work out for us best right now to use that space as my studio.  I needed a place to paint that was close to a sink and where I could keep an eye on the kids.  Maybe later, when there's not so many toys up there,  I can move up to the bonus room and make this a true dining room.

Here is from the other side.  I love the big columns, trim, and plantation shutters.  They let in great light for painting.  This whole room was sort of a red/burnt orange color when we bought it.  I had the walls and the ceiling painted two slightly different shades of green to show off those features and soften it up a bit.  I love "my space" but would love to have a nice dining room, too!  I'll just go see yours!
Thanks for stopping by today!
