Doctor's Orders

Rachel Harvey ordered a special Christmas gift for her pediatrician. What a great idea! She wanted something kind of masculine (I did my best on that one!) and in jungle colors.

If you have kids, you know that a good pediatrician is worth his or her weight in gold. We were at walk-ins in Murfreesboro with Lauren yesterday and did not get to see our regular doctor. It just wasn't the same, and we are most likely headed back today. She was up all night with her ears hurting. So much for catching up on some rest during my afternoon off!

Brooke

I wish I still had the picture of the bedding this canvas is meant to go with. It is white with this same polka dot pattern. Brandi Murphy ordered it as a gift for her niece and tells me that the wall are also white. It was her suggestion to do a black background. In my mind, it wasn't working out, but once again, I was wrong! I love it!

I added a coordinating rhinestone here and there. What girl doesn't love a little bling?

More Holiday Sparkle!

I did this one at the same time as the one I posted yesterday. It definitely has the same look and detailing.

I just love these three dimensional holly berries.

I used the lyrics to one of my very favorite Christmas songs for the wording.
This 8x10 was meant for Et Cetera, but ended up being donated to a good cause. Best of luck with your fundraiser, Monica! I'm so glad I could help.

Holiday Sparkle

Black and white polka dots, fancy red lettering, sparkling holly berries, and shimmery ribbon make this canvas extra special. I love all of the little touches on a seemingly simple design.

From this angle you can see the berries better. You can also see that the entire canvas is coated with a fine glitter. This would be really pretty on its own, on a tree, or in a wreath.

One Last Pumpkin...

I really think this is the last pumpkin for this year. I've done quite a few this fall season, and, honestly, they are one of my favorite things to paint. I've got a system down pat with them, and they just turn out right every time! Now I am moving on to Christmas and snowmen...

Family

Wouldn't your family look cute as snowmen? I love this one that I recently finished for LeAnn Nokes. She wanted a beaded handle (which I also love!). The single snowman with the cheery rainbow scarf is also a recent order and makes a perfect gift.
It is hard to capture in a photo, but both of these are covered with a fine silver glitter. It just gives them a little extra sparkle!

Welcome

"Welcome" + polka dots = super cute!

These two would look fantastic on the front door all year round. I love them both and they were so fun to paint!

Maelee

This really sweet daisy themed bedding was chosen by Tessa Turner for her baby girl, Maelee. She is painting the wall the darker shade of lime green in the bedding with white trim. Just keep that in mind when you see the canvases.

Tessa requested each letter of Maelee's name on a 10x10 canvas. She gave me the bedding, told me the wall color, and said "have at it"! I think the white canvases with light pink ribbon will stand out so pretty on those dark green walls. I made sure that there was a touch of that green on each one. Each one also has its own special look, but coordinates with the others.

One Stop Shopping

Kristen Hardison of Birmingham, Alabama, got all of her teacher gifts taken care of in one email! Now that is one stop shopping! She ordered these (and one for herself!) for the girls she teaches with. I know how close you can get to your fellow teachers, so I was more than happy to do something special for her. They all coordinate, but each has its own unique touch. I would love to see these hanging up and down the halls of the school!

Toot Sweet Boutique

The ladies at Toot Sweet Boutique had a booth down the way from me at the Autumn Street Fair. They fell in love with this adorable owl canvas and the colors perfectly matched their logo colors. I personalized it for them and here is the finished product. Too cute!

Bon Voyage

"Bon Voyage" is the theme for this blue and brown bedding set. Rae Boutte chose this for her son Clarke's room.

Rae wanted his first, middle, and last name on separate canvases along with images from the bedding.

I think they turned out really cute and coordinate with the bedding so well. My favorite is the scooter!

Did you figure it out? It's that pesky silent "e"! Rae brought it back and I added the missing letter right away.

Perfect Little Gifts

Nancy Golden got a jump on her holiday shopping by ordering these seven little cuties. She ordered four 5x5 snowmen in a variety of colors and styles. She also ordered three of the "ho, ho ho's" in the green diamond design.

At $15.00 each, these are great to have around for those unexpected gifts, secret sisters, and teachers. They are also really lightweight and so easy to ship for your out-of-town friends and family.

Lilac and Mint

Sounds like something really good to drink! Really it's the colors requested by Natalie Gilley for a special canvas for her daughter. Little Cora Anne is due soon! I did one for Cora's big sister, Olivia, a while back and Natalie wanted one for the new baby as well.

I absolutely love the soft colors in this one. She wanted some daisy detailing. I did lilac on lilac daisies in the background to keep it soft. I also used the scalloped edges for another daisy effect. That combined with the mint dots and simple leaves, to me, is perfection.

Christmas Card Preview

Designing our Christmas card is one of my favorite things to do each year. Mike and I have had a photo card made every year that we've been married. Our whole family is in each one. I love looking back through them and seeing how we've changed and grown. My hope is to get them all framed together...someday! Here's our photo for this year. I love it, especially Carter's eyes!

Teacher Love

Showing some love for the teachers! Here are some cute teacher canvases that have been ordered lately. Tonya Reagan and her girls ordered two for their teachers for Christmas, but couldn't wait to give them. I love that enthusiasm! The other my sweet neighbor, Michelle Stevens, ordered for herself in North Carolina Tarheel colors. All of these are 10x10 and cost $25.00.

More Neutral Monograms

The cream, taupe, and black monograms are really taking off. I can see why! They go with just about any one's decor and are perfect to leave out all year round. This design also works well on just about any size canvas. Dana Simpson ordered these two in 5x5 as gifts.

If your last name starts with "C" you are in luck! I did a taupe C on the cream background on a 5x5 canvas before I realized the customer had ordered a different size.
