Show Us Your Life - Beauty Tips

Well, I don't have a whole lot in the way of beauty and make up tips but I love participating in the "Show Us Your Life" series at Kelly's Korner. I am looking forward to browsing through the other ones and picking up some new ideas.
My best beauty tip is good skin care. It doesn't matter what kind or how much make up you use if you don't take care of your skin. I wash my face every night with Dove Daily Facial Cleansing Cloths. They are quick, easy to use, and very gentle. Then I lather up for bed in Oil of Olay Night Cream. I really think it helps with those awful lines!

Exfoliating, for me, is key to good skin. My skin is oily and I don't know what builds up and it is just gross and shiny. I use this apricot scrub during my morning shower. It is a good "wake-me-up" but also gets my skin clean and primed for my day lotion and then make up.

The apricot scrub is perfect for my face, but I love this homemade brown sugar/olive oil version for my body. It exfoliates and moisturizes in one step. Your skin will feel sooo good! I posted the super easy recipe a while back.

My final tip is wearing different make up in the winter and the summer. I use a Cover Girl pressed foundation in the winter. In the summer, I use this tinted moisturizer in a slightly darker shade from Ulta. The Ulta store brand has a line of make up that is really affordable and I love everything I've tried.

Thanks for stopping by today! Stay beautiful!

I am going to try your brown sugar scrub recipe right now! I was super excited to see this recipe, it's just what I was hoping for from the SUYL party this week!
Yay, brown sugar scrub. I know what I'm doing this weekend.
Hi again! Thanks for visiting my blog! I seriously made and used the scrub yesterday. It was wonderful. Even talked my husband into using it last night!
