Do They Rebel At Four?

Lauren is about to turn four and I am afraid that she has hit her rebellious stage. She has always been curious, inquisitive, fearless, and a bit of a diva. Lately, she has developed a sassy attitude and an increased interest in the alphabet. I am guessing that is why she has taken up graffiti. I keep finding little words written in hidden places. My favorite one is the recent discovery of "pig" on the bathroom shelf.
Her next act of rebellion was giving herself a radical new haircut. She had a free minute from sweeping at Brooke and Gary's and decided to chop off her pretty blond hair...only on one side of course. If she is trying to give her mother a heart attack, she is on the right track!

What's next? Tattoos? Piercings? Or is she saving that for kindergarten?

Oh Brandie, this cracked me up. Bless your heart! A little REBEL never hurt anybody!! Hopefully it won't last long. At least she can look back at the pictures of her little stunts years from now and laugh too.

Sweet Brandie,
When Mike relayed Lauren's haircut adventure this morning, I couldn't help but giggle. However, most children give themselves a haircut at some point. As to the graffiti, everyone needs a stage to display their handywork. Remember, she has some creative juices flowing from you!
Enjoy your lovely daughter and be happy that for now it isn't tattoos!

Maybe she saw the sign about donating to Locks of Love??? LOL I hope Lilly doesn't decide to do the same??? I have already found art all over the house too, but it's not readable yet...

Brandie,

Been there and done that....Katie took all of her hair in the front off and had bangs about 1 inch long where there had been long beautiful blonde hair....just a day or two before the Little Miss Valentine pageant she was going to be in...Oh well....You will look back in a few years when she is off in college and remember that day and laugh. She'll have children someday and they will do something like this and she will feel just like you did.

Curtis took a chunk out of his hair, but it is easy for boys. To corrrect it you can peel their heads. Just think you can try a new hairdo for Lauren and make it look like she did it for a reason. She was just expressing her inner passion for art. I think she comes by that honest. Have a great weekend.

My 2 1/2 year old has made some of my walls her person art gallery. I might sound like a mean mommy but I make her use the Mr. Clean Eraser to scrub the walls.
