Ten Days of Giveaways #6

**I am so happy to have my picture issue worked out! I so wanted to share Paula's beautiful pictures with you. I can't believe we are already over 1,000 comments! I cannot wait to see who wins tonight!

You’ve all got a special treat today from Paula Wanamaker at My Cookbook Life. I love all of Paula’s goodies, but my favorite are the Sundrop Cupcakes with lemon buttercream icing. Oh, my goodness! They literally make you moan out loud! Here is all about Paula in her own words…

"I guess as long as I can remember I have always had a love of baking. It all started when I was a little girl, and would stand beside my grandmother, Inez, and watch and sometimes get to help. She is my hero and inspiration for all my baking and new adventures in baking. I always call her and get tips when I'm at wits end with something...she always knows just what to do. I don't know what I would do without her. I love her so! I'm so blessed to have her for my GrannyMa."

"I always try to use the freshest ingredients I can find...fresh country eggs, fresh milk, REAL unsalted butter, and REAL, pure Vanilla from Texas!...not Mexico...Texas!I think using the freshest ingredients really does make a difference and of course, EVERYTHING I bake has lots of love put into it too. I know that sounds corny, but I really do love each batch of whatever I'm making...does that sound weird???"
"My favorite thing to bake is not cookies, but cupcakes. I'm getting pretty good at it, and am trying to go more towards the gourmet side of it. I am working on a Mexican Hot-Chocolate Cupcake, made with 3 kinds of chocolate and 2 different kinds of cayenne pepper (like a sweet heat). I haven't got it perfected yet, but I can tell you...it's gonna be my next best thing next to the Molasses cookies!"

"Terry and I have been married for 17yrs, and we have two amazing boys, Salem (14) and Carter J. (11). I love my family, love my friends, I love everybody! I love volunteering whenever possible, especially when it comes to Relay for Life, Queens for a Cure, Morrison Ruritan, and at the WCMS and WCHS! One thing I'm very proud of is our Miss Warren County pageant we held this past October. We raised over $7500.00 to be given away in prizes, not including the $1500.00 scholarship!!! I worked my butt off for almost six months, but it paid off getting to see all the pretty girls and especially when we announced we were giving away $1,500 instead of $500!!! It was all worth it!"

"One of the most awesome moments EVER in my lifetime was getting to meet Angie Dudley, Ms. Bakerella, with my bestie, Anne Vance. Being on Bakerellla's website was an amazing, awesome thing. Maybe I will be famous one day like her!"

"Also, I wanted to include a picture of me and my niece Callie. She's been nominated by her sorority to be in the 2011 Miss MTSU pageant. It is a preliminary to Miss Tennessee. I can’t wait to go watch her and am so very proud of her."

Paula is so sweet and fun to be around, and did I mention talented? Today Paula is giving away a Snow Day themed basket. This basket is absolutely filled with goodies! The Snow Day package includes: snowman face banner ($35 value from Kathy's), leopard print throw ($10), coffee mug with white chocolate gourmet hot-chocolate ($5 World Market), crown cookie cutters ($5 Hobby Lobby), snowman cookie cutter ($3 Target), assorted snowman & snowflake baking cups ($5 Target), and 1 dozen Mexican Hot Chocolate cookies ($15 cookies by Paula)...Total Package Value $78.00...everything you'll ever need for a great Snow Day at home!
