One For The Boys...

This is such a great saying for a big or little brother.  I love the blue background that lets the white and khaki lettering really pop.  This is an 11x14 and costs $30.00.

Here's a little sneak peek at a set for a western themed nursery.  It has the cutest quilt with the cow print trim.  I can't wait to share the finished products!

Billie's not a boy, but I just wanted share with you all that I've had the flu.  I haven't been painting.  I haven't felt like sitting up, much less holding a brush!  The cat and I have been in bed for the past three days.  I think she likes the heating pad more than I do!  Here's to a quick recovery and everything back to normal.

Valentine Love

I had these two great 8x8 canvas blocks with the edges already painted in red and pink glitter.  They were snatched up pretty quick for Valentine's Day!

The LOVE one has a pink glitter heart to match the edging.

The four hearts have the initials of special people in them...so sweet!  I think they looks like those candy conversation hearts.

I do have one more canvas block left and awaiting a custom order!  It's a 6x6 with a pretty aqua trim.  Just leave me a comment or send me an email if you are interested.
Thanks!

Just A Few Signs...

Here's an 11x14 sign for a Silpada jewelry representative.  She wanted something to take with her for vendor opportunities.  I think this will be the perfect touch to her booth!

How about another "bare feet" canvas?  It seems like I paint one of these every week - haha!

And finally today, a nice little 5x5 canvas for the bathroom.

It's short but sweet today.  It's been pretty busy here at the Mansfield house and that doesn't leave a lot of time for blogging!  I have been painting and do have lots to share.  You all know how it is...work, kids, and house!

The Perfect Nursery Quote

I think this quote is so sweet and just perfect for any nursery...any child, really!  This 11x14 featured lavender stripes, lime green accents, and brown lettering.  The colors are all custom requested along with the addition of butterflies.

The same quote is done here on an 8x24 canvas.  I was sent a picture of a pillow with teals, blues, and grays to use as inspiration.  The polka dots were requested along with the slight wording change of the "I's" to "we's".  Just another example of making each piece truly custom!

Always Remember...

I love, love, love, this quote!  I had the request a while back to do this quote in a way that made it a little more appropriate for a boy's room.  This is what I came up with!  I've painted it several times since then.  I can do it in just about any color combination, but the red is very popular.  This 16x20 is $45.00.

Trinity

This beautiful 8x24 birth announcement canvas shipped out earlier this week.  Trinity's mom, Amber, knew just what she wanted.  She asked for these specific colors of a golden tan, chocolate brown, and sage green.

It has a sweet, simple design with the added touch of a contrasting color on the sides.  Those are brown on brown polka dots!

Amber specifically asked for a clock to show the time of birth.  That's a little different from what I usually do, but I like it!

Faith and Fear

So...it's been a rough week.  There's been quite a bit of snow and ice for us, which is unusual.  I think I've got a bit of cabin fever.  I definitely have the "blah's".

I am dealing with my grandmother's passing.  I am very blessed to have a supportive family.  I don't really have any worries, which is another blessing, it is just a sad time.

I had been asked it I could paint this little quote a while back.  I decided that now was the perfect time to give it a try.  It is hard to tell in the pictures, but the blue has been distressed quite a bit.  The flower have button center, and the hill is made of newspaper.  It was kind of fun to use multimedia and do something a little different.

Little Ladies

Four sweet little 5x5's ordered as gifts.  I love how they are similar, but have their own unique touches.

Beige on white animal print 10x10's with this very popular quote for aunts.

A hot pink and zebra set of three 8x10's ordered as a gift for a daughter from her mother.

All different.  All beautiful.  All ordered for special ladies.  My grandmother passed away on Sunday and her services were yesterday.  Treasure everyone in your life, take care of them, and always take time to make a memory.

Finished Products

In the last post, you saw the in progress photos of these pieces.  Now you get to see the finished products!  I am so happy with how they all turned out!

The two snowmen sold to two of my regular customers.  Darlene Goodwin purchased the larger chevron patterned one.  Michelle Best claimed the smaller polka dot version.  Both ladies told me to use whatever colors and fonts I wanted - woo hoo!

I love the pale pink with the gray.  It's great for winter, but perfect for Valentine's Day!  The aqua is always my go-to color.  If someone tells me to choose, that person is probably getting aqua!  I think this G is my favorite letter that I've painted in a long time!

My snow blocks turned out so cute - even better than how I had them pictured in my head!  The blues, lavender, and aquas looks so pretty together.

This set is on my mantle and I think it's just going to stay there.  I do have one more set of canvas blocks available for immediate delivery - $40.00 shipped.

On My Table...

I've had some time at home over the break.  It has been so nice!  I've been a little spoiled and now I don't want to go anywhere!  I took some time and painted a couple of things that weren't orders.  They're just things I wanted to paint.

I have ideas bouncing around in my head all of the time.  I rarely sit down and actually put them on canvas.  I wanted something small to put on my mantle.  Our TV hands over it so I can have anything tall blocking it.  I picked out all of my favorite winter colors and patterns and put them all together in four blocks.  They will spell out SNOW when finished!

I love oval and round canvases.  They're just a change from the normal rectangle and square.  I wanted to do a plain and simple snowman...no face, buttons, or carrot noses.  I also wanted to do it in all shades of white and gray.  The little dash of color will be in the scarf and wording.

I think I'm going to take them out and scuff them up a bit for a rustic look before I add those last little details.

I've got a few more things to try before heading back to school on Monday!

Happy New Year!!

We usually host a big New Year's Eve part and I share pictures from that.  This year, Carter is attending out church youth group's party and my sister has to work.  We decided just to have nice, quiet New Year's at home.  I made a big pot of gumbo and we settled in for a movie.  Nice!

Here's some pictures from all of our Christmas adventures.  It all started at my mother-in-law's house.  It was so good to see my nieces and nephew.  We had one of my favorite meals of the year and exchanged gifts.

The kids are getting so big!

Christmas morning at our house is always just the best.  Here's the kids up early and ready to roll.  Don't they looked excited?!

Lauren got the Kindle with a personalized case that she has been wanting forever.

Carter got Memphis Grizzlies tickets as his big gift, but I think he liked the back scratcher the best!

After spending the morning at our house, we go to my parent's house for yet another gift exchange and a huge lunch.  My mom makes the best ham!  I get to see my sisters and my two nephews.

We take turns opening gifts one at a time.  Lauren is waiting not so patiently!

We had photos of the grandkids framed for my parents.  I think they like it!

We went to Memphis over the weekend to go to the basketball game.  We made a pit stop at the world famous Rendevous for some bar-b-que.  It was soooo good!  We also walked Beale Street and took Carter to the Civil Rights Museum.  Lauren stayed with my mom.  It was really special to spend some time with my boys.

Here they are at the game.  The Grizzlies beat the Nuggets.  We were about twelve rows from the court.  It was Carter's first NBA game.  I think he was awed at how big the men are and how high they really jump.  It's a whole different perspective from watching it on T.V.  He's already asking when we can go back!

That's my holiday and now I am preparing for a day of inservice before the kids come back to school.  Here's to hoping for lots of snow - haha!
